Giovanni Piazzini Albani Giovanni Piazzini Albani is an entrepreneur and executive with more than 30 years of experience in real estate development, strategic consulting, and business management across Central Europe and Italy. Born in Bergamo in 1968 and raised in an aristocratic family, he received a Catholic education at the Sant’Alessandro Episcopal College before studying Law at the University of Milan.
After an initial professional appointment in Italy, he moved to Prague in 1992, where he founded and led Ponte Carlo Holding a.s., developing and coordinating more than 300 real estate projects and transactions across the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Italy. Under his leadership, several operating companies were established in the fields of engineering, facility management, strategic consulting, agri-energy, turnkey contract services, and finance.
From 1999 onward, he also took on positions in Italy, holding senior roles within Gruppo RE S.p.A., a company specialized in the enhancement of ecclesiastical real estate assets, as well as in the lifting industry through the establishment of Vecom, Velcon, My Lift (in both the Czech Republic and Italy), and, more recently, EMAC S.r.l. in Parma.
He has also gained experience in the publishing and association sectors: he was registered with the Order of Journalists in the Czech Republic, founder of the Progetto Repubblica Ceca, and promoter of the Italian Business Center, which brings together Italian companies operating in Central and Eastern European markets. He served as a board member of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia and as a member of the Board of Statutory Auditors of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic. In recognition of his entrepreneurial and institutional commitment, in 2014 he was awarded the title of Knight of the Italian Republic by President Giorgio Napolitano. He is currently the sole shareholder and Chief Executive Officer of Fonica International, an Italian company that designs and manufactures audio systems distributed in more than 25 countries.
